A friend and I went to the Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR. Ironically most of my favorite shots were of birds. They are so wonderful at this time of year with their best clothes on!
Walrus tusks from the Hatfield Marine Center in Newport
My sweet Black Pearl
From my trip to Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR
I'd seen a pair of eagles down by Baker Beach so I went out with my camera and wasn't disappointed (other than the fact that there was once again a miserable white overcast sky)

Pearl and Abby have been best friends since they were little pups and still enjoy a weekly play date. They look fierce but they think this is the best of fun

Our camera club had a planned photoshoot here and the club president and I went out on a scouting trip a few days ahead of time. Unfortunately the photoshoot got rained out so I didn't get to go back for some better shots
I really liked the way the light shone here. From my trip to Wildlife Safari in Winston, OR
I didn't have time last month to get finished with processing my Hawaii shots so I'm posting the ones I got to later. This was taken from right outside our room at the Volcano House before we went to bed for a short sleep before 2:30 wake up the next morning
I shot this when we went to Baker Beach to photograph the eagles and got rid of the miserable white sky

I didn't have time last month to get finished with processing my Hawaii shots so I'm posting the ones I got to later. We were really lucky to get to photograph the fire hose. Since that time it has tunneled and is forming another bench with smaller lava flows
I didn't much like the shots my underwater camera took but it is wonderful to think back to swimming in the water water!

My camera club's competition this month is "unreal". This will be my entry.

This sweet male Annas hummingbird has stayed around all winter. Hopefully a mate will show up for him
I took this at Finley Wildlife Reserve in terrible light so there is lots of noise in the photo

April, like the past many months, was rainy, rainy, rainy and when it wasn't raining the sky was blah overcast. This was an unexpected sunset that didn't give me time to get to a spot with a better composition

May there be lots of nectarines this summer
Not a good shot, but thrilling to see

This osprey nest is right off the road and sadly each year the pair builds a nest but never has babies in it. I was excited, however, to get a shot with both of them in focus and him with sticks in his beak
A friend and I drove to Seal Rock hoping for a good sunset. Unfortunately the sunset was a bit disappointing but we found an osprey nest with lots going on.
