Milky Way and Meteor Showers At Ocean Beach (I love this time of year when the Milky Way is still visible and darkness falls at a more reasonable hour for a morning person! I was tickled to capture some falling stars)
Milky Way, Planet and Falling Stars At Holman Overlook (I love this time of year when the Milky Way is still visible and darkness falls at a more reasonable hour for a morning person! I was tickled to capture some falling stars)
Pigeon Guillemots (I love these little birds)
Sanderlings (At Washburne Beach on morning right after dawn)
Seagull Pursuit (Taken on hike on South Jetty trail over the Siuslaw River)
Silhouettes Against the Stormy Sky (I was looking at some shots I took in the Palouse a couple of years ago and figured it was time to process them)
Snowy Plover (Washburne Beach.. These little birds are endangered so the beach closest to home is closed to dogs from April- mid September for breeding season. I guess this one didn't know she wasn't on the right beach! But Black Pearl behaved)
Tahkenitch Milky Way (I love this time of year when the Milky Way is still visible and darkness falls at a more reasonable hour for a morning person!)
Tail Feathers Soaking Up the Sun Rays (This time of year the area on the South Jetty trail that is under water most of the year dries out and exposes millions of tiny little fish so the egrets come for feasting)
The Last Of the Wisteria (I've been struggling to find my photo mojo so recently started a photo project called "Aging Beauty" as a reminder to myself that there is still life in the old girl (me) yet as I age)
White Egret Showing Her Tongue (So amazing to be able to see inside the beak!)
White Egrets Congregating On the Other Side Of the Dunes (This time of year the area on the South Jetty trail that is under water most of the year dries out and exposes millions of tiny little fish so the egrets come for feasting)
Wind Turbine Dawn Blake 2020 (This is a reedit of a photo I took in the Palouse at dawn a few years ago based on some suggestions I got from a photographer mentor Blake Rudis)
Annas Hummer Sitting On a Tomato Cage (Most of the rufous hummingbirds have traveled on, probably South, but a few Annas seem to be going to over winter here thankfully)
Blue Heron Strolling On the Barnacles (The last several times Jim and Black Pearl and I walked at dawn on Washburne Beach, we had startled a small blue heron. Finally I was ready with my camera)
Blue Heron Fly Away (The last several times Jim and Black Pearl and I walked at dawn on Washburne Beach, we had startled a small blue heron. Finally I was ready with my camera)
Boats Resting Under the Milky Way and Meteor Shower (I love this time of year when the Milky Way is still visible and darkness falls at a more reasonable hour for a morning person! I was tickled to capture some falling stars)
Cormorant Plunging Into the Surf (At Washburne Beach)
Cow Parsnip (I've been struggling to find my photo mojo so recently started a photo project called "Aging Beauty" as a reminder to myself that there is still life in the old girl (me) yet as I age. I thought this looked a lot like a scarecrow)
Crater Lake Reedit (I've never been happy with the Milky Way shots I've taken at Crater Lake so I went back to look at them and combined a daytime lake picture that I darkened significantly and replaced the sky with this Milky Way sky that I do like. I had to fiddle a lot with the white balance to get it to work and I know it isn't "real" but I had fun playing)
Egret Lookouts (This time of year the area on the South Jetty trail that is under water most of the year dries out and exposes millions of tiny little fish so the egrets come for feasting. These egrets were on the river side of the dunes with the congregation of egrets on the other side feasting)
Fireweed (I've been struggling to find my photo mojo so recently started a photo project called "Aging Beauty" as a reminder to myself that there is still life in the old girl (me) yet as I age. Several weeks ago the blooms would have extended almost 1/2 way down this stalk)
Fog At Whiskey Run (Jim and I took a day trip down the coast and stopped for an early morning walk near Coos Bay at a beach where years ago during prohibition, black market whiskey was unloaded)
Fog At Whisky Run B and W (Jim and I took a day trip down the coast and stopped for an early morning walk near Coos Bay at a beach where years ago during prohibition, black market whiskey was unloaded)
Hanging Dead Leaf (I've been struggling to find my photo mojo so recently started a photo project called "Aging Beauty" as a reminder to myself that there is still life in the old girl (me) yet as I age.)
I'm Home Dear, I'm Outta Here (Pigeon Guillemots' antics during breeding period are so much fun to watch)
