Death Valley
She built her nest right over our greens garden and stayed there for almost two weeks before she decided there was too much happening to raise babies. She left the nest and eggs. I was really sad
The rufous seem to arrive in early July and here was one of the first arrivals
we took a short camping trip to the Sisters and were surprised to find a shore bird on a lake in the mountains
It has been along time since we'd had a sunset and I didn't see it coming in time to go somewhere with better foreground. I took this off our deck
We found this osprey nest on Sauvi Island
They were about 3/8" long in Jim's pond surrounded by muck so I disguised it a bit with some textures
On our hike to Chush Falls near Sisters
On our camping trip to Sisters
Re processing of a shot of the Grand Canyon taken in 2018
A friend gave me these bulbs saying that they were acanthus but what grew doesn't look like the acanthus photos I found on Google
From our trip to Sisters
On the Pacific Crest trail
Amazing that he can still fly so well. taken at home
Washburne Beach
Waiting for his turn at the feeder
SQWACK! Taken from my kayak
On our hike at Little Three Creeks Lake near Sisters

I finally got her to move off our bed in the tent
On hike near Sisters
On Washburne Beach
Looking coy at least
I'm trying to shoot them in all the different flowers they visit in our yard
I'd never seen them in the evening primroses before
On the horse trails just next to the path
These are so fast and unpredictable that I was amazed to capture him from my kayak
In Little Three Creeks Lake
Seagull on Washburne Beach
Black Pearl asking me what we are going to do next and will there be food involved?
Taken from a long way away in my kayak
Very foggy and overcast day in the kayak on Munsel Lake
