I love the body language here
Not as good focus as I like but sure gives the feeling that I often observe between these guys
We hadnt seen the sun for more than a week, so I had to go out and capture the sunset
We were hooping for star shots here but the fog and clouds came in

I'd not seen these particular fish before and I thought they were beautiful
I liked his posture
Taken at the bed and breakfast that we stayed at on our trip to Hawaii

I was snorkeling along and looked beside me and he seemed really curious about me and stayed swimming beside me for a long time

The bay that we stayed near to is home to several pods of spinner dolphins who come into the bay to sleep during the day. This particular day there were more than we'd ever seen before filling the bay...maybe 100 of them. Thrilling!

We were walking up Baker beach one morning when the tide was out and happened on this magestic bird. Wish I'd had my better lens
Hawaii snorkeling. I've never seen one of these in the wild before
The falcon pair that I followed last year from the time their eggs hatched until the babies fledged have returned. This was the day before they first mated this season

There was a huge storm about a month ago that brought literally tons of driftwood onto the beach

It's an invasive species but beautiful nonetheless
Common Loon in breeding plumage at the golden hour
There was a huge storm about a month ago that brought literally tons of driftwood onto the beach. We spent a couple of hours with Mason and Rachel doing some interior design with several of the homes that had been built with the driftwood.
I have to say, I am addicted to these little creatures!
I couldnt resist this amusing shot

In a small bay neaxt to the bay we spent most of our time in while in Hawaii, a man who rents kayaks had started feeding leaves from one of his trees to the sea turtles. They loved it and came close to eat
The weatehr was a bit funky the whole time we were there but I played with long exposures. This is the view of the bay from where we sat to drink our coffee and look for the arrival of the dolphins most mornings
Apparently this white koi is over 20 years old

The end of a fun day photographing birds
I liked the reflections here
Lots of noise in this capture d/t high ISO, but I really like the tails feathers spread
Sadly none of these have very good focus but I've never seen an octopus in the wild and it was thrilling to watch it move and change color so that it would continue to be camophlaged
