This spot somehow feels sacred to me. On our trip to the Columbian Gorge, we arrived here just during the golden hour and stayed until dark heating our soup on our camp stove in the parking lot. Sweet evening. This was built by a man named Simon Benson who was an ambulance driver in WW 1 and came home after seeing the original Stonehenge and wanted to make a memorial to the lost soldiers and a reminder of the losses of war.
