Death Valley
I participated in the challenge to take photos with just 50mm lens and no post processing that was to happen for the whole month. I only made it for a few days because of leaving for Crater Lake and then never really getting back to it!
I liked the pops of color
Kris photographing at edge of Crater Lake
From my out of town photographer buddies visit to Florence after Crater Lake
I've been practicing panorama shots lately and Crater Lake seemed like the perfect spot.

There is something about this particular view of Crater Lake that I really like
Given a bit of a "seeing to"
Taking Pearl on an early morning hike
Something about the contrating styles of catching fish that I enjoyed. Taken in Yachats
Pretty silly to photograph ground squirrels when the lake is so stunning!
We had all kinds of weather while we were at Crater Lake

One of my Chicago photography buddies photographing at Crater Lake
It seems as if I wait all year for the Milky Way to be visible without having to stay up until midnight so I grabbed the opportunities when we had clear skies
The lighthouse was unlit all Summer d/t repairs but now it is shining bright again
A color version of one of my favorite views at Crater Lake
Kris (one of my out of town photography visitors} found this angle and I really like how the rays are visible

My photography friends who were visiting wanted to shoot stars with me, so we took every opportunity

I like how the reflection allows you to see the lake here
Out shooting with friends while the Milky Way is still visible in the night sky.

She is such a sweetie
In Yachats. I was shooting landscapes and they came flying by. I did the best I could to change my settings quickly
We were heading back to our cabins at Crater Lake for some dinner before shooting stars and I saw this out the window and yelled "stop" to Kris who was driving.
I took my visiting friends to the elk viewing area and couldn't help taking some shots myself.

I liked how the clouds look like smoke coming out of the volcano in the background

I was hoping for a more dramatic sunset but at least found a new likely spot to photograph from

Taken near the marina on Bay St
I liked how both were in the sky together and the Milky Way still visible
