Smokey Sun Going Down (The sun and sky really were this color from the smoke from Oregon fires)
Smokey Sunset (Off our deck...freaky but beautiful)
Spider with Dinner In the Bag (Hard working spider)
Sun Rays Break Through the Morning Beach Fog (Taken at Washburne Beach one beautiful foggy dawn)
Sunset After the Smoke (First time we had seen any sky for more than a week)
Sunset Light Kisses the Rose (We were taking Black Pearl on her before bed walk and the sunset was lighting up this rose so I ran for my camera)
The Difference 12 Hours Can Make (The top photo was taken the night before the hot gusty and scary winds started making us fear that we'd have to evacuate)
Thistle (A spot of color as plants close down for the season)
Gray Jay (Pearl and I were on a little walk down to the pond and saw a group of these jays busily feeding)
We Are About To Get Drenched (Looking South on the beach as a storm came in. Were we ever happy to have rain at last)
Wild Geranium with Textures (I took a photo of this wild geranium using a light box and then added the background)
Young Buck and One Of His Harem (They came to visit again...though they left a lot of damage to the orchard in their wake)
American Avocets At the Beach (I've never seen them at the beach before...only farther inland in marshy areas. I wonder if it is because of the fires impacting their usual migration routes.)
American Avocet with Teeny Fish (I've never seen them at the beach before...only farther inland in marshy areas. I wonder if it is because of the fires impacting their usual migration routes.)
Bedraggled Hummer (We have three Annas that seem to be planning to overwinter here)
Black Rose (Just some play with a dark red rose in Jim's garden)
Blue Heron Flying in Smoky Foggy Sky (We took a hike on Washburne Beach before the smoke got too bad to be outside)
Brown Pelican Flying in Smoky Foggy Sky (We took a hike on Washburne Beach before the smoke got too bad to be outside)
Clerodendron (Taken on my light box with texture added)
Dirty Bottles (I noticed these in the window with the sun going down behind them)
Faded Lily (I've been doing a photo project called "Aging Beauty" and this is one of the photos I took for it)
Foggy Day At the River (Black Pearl and her friend Abby and her person, Christine, and I had a wonderful hike on a much needed beautiful smokeless day)
Fuscia difference mode (Taken on my light box and then experimented with a new layer mode in photoshop)
Fuscia Focus Stack (The original light box shot)
Last Night's Sunset (The smoke does make for pretty sunsets when it is farther away)
Leaf (I've been doing a photo project called "Aging Beauty" and this is one of the photos I took for it)
Light Box Fuscia with Texture
McKenzie Park Path Through the Trees 2020 Edit (With no travel to Hawaii coming any time soon, I revisited one of my favorite places and reprocessed it)
Morning Feeling Apocalyptic (This is what we saw from the house the day we had hot hurricane force East winds. We packed up belongings in case we had to evacuate. It was quite scary.)
Morning Web (I just thought this was pretty)
Paddling Into the Dawn (We finally had fairly clear skies and I took my camera out for dawn shooting. The kayakers were a bonus)
Past Its Prime (I've been doing a photo project called "Aging Beauty" and this is one of the photos I took for it)
Patient Black Pearl (If you look really carefully, you will see a teeny chipmunk and a big pine cone. Black Pearl watched attentively for about 10 minutes until the chipmunk got tired of the stare down)
Peaceful Sutton Dawn (We finally had fairly clear skies and I took my camera out for dawn shooting.)
Ravens Surveying the Beach (I thought this was amusingly moody)
Rose and Friend (In Jim's flower garden)
Rugosa Rose Held By Her Babies
Sand Castle (Lots of families have come over from the valley to escape the heat and bad air quality and play at the beach)
Seagulls Flying Out of the Mist (AT Washburne Beach)
River Otter? Seal? Sea Lion? (Saw this swimming in the Siuslaw River. I'm not sure what it is with its big eye brows)
Sharp Shinned Hawk (I took this through the window. All the little song birds disappeared)
Skeleton Silliness (Couldn't get out to shoot in the smoke so I did some silly play)
Slot Canyon In A Sea Shell
Smoke Gets In My Eyes (Washburne Beach)
