Jim heard a woodpecker pecking near our barn and was able to find him. I photographed for quite a while and then I hear another piliated calling. She showed up and they pecked at the same tree for quite a while. I was thrilled

Niguelle was here for a visit and I walked up to the cabin with her and saw these rays as I came back down. I didn't even have my phone with me but was able to grab my camera before the rays disappeared
We've had a flurry of activity at our hummingbird feeders with first the males and then 10 days later the female rufous coming through
One of the first male rufous to show up
This reminded me of beaded necklaces

Just playing with one of the rare sunsets that had any color in March
From our trip to Finley
If you look carefully you'll see Jupiter's moons
I've never seen the tongue curled quite so much

He is much more orange and smaller than any rufous I've seen before and he loves to just sit on the wire and look at things
Snow again

Another Finley hawk
Someday it will warm up!

I saw this shadow while I was photographing
