Tide Is Coming In
I was aghast to watch this seemingly abandoned tripod and camera standing unattended for more than 1/2 hour as the tide came in more and more. This is one of my favorite beaches to photograph but it is a long way to go in hopes of a good sunset and/or starry sky. We got lucky

Stairs
This turned out to be a therapy shot! I was feeling kind of blah- blue or in this case grey. When I fisrt saw this on the computer, I like dthe lines and textures but just decided to fiddle. I decided to bring in a poppy shot and add it to the stairs. I placed it lots of different places and then decided I liked this the best. After I got done, I noticed I no longer felt glum! The flower had cheered me up as well as the shot

Mt Hood Reflected During the Blue Hour
I've been wanting to photograph Mt Hood reflected in Trillium Lake for a long time. I was hoping for a small moon and lots of stars but it was full moon and I didn't get many stars but I loved how the mountain was lit up

I drove down to Coos Bay to shoot the surf in abnormally high tide. The surf wasnt impressive but this foreground is usually mud flats. I loved the clouds and reflections

Rocks at Quiet Spot b and w
During my Zen of Photography class in Yosemite we spent three evenings in this spot learning to really take our time and feel the emotions that what we were shooting brought out in us. I sure learned a lot. One of the things Michael had us do was to sketch the shot we planned to take before we took it.
